COMMON CORE
The Common Core is a set of high-quality academic standards in mathematics and English language arts/literacy (ELA). These learning goals outline what a student should know and be able to do at the end of each grade.
Connecticut PTA has had and continues to have a leading role in the discussions regarding the development and implementation of the Common Core State Standards Initiative (CCSSI or Common Core). SMARTER BALANCED ASSESSMENT
Changes have been made to what our students are expected to know, to complement this, changes have been made to how this knowledge is assessed.
